Cheongyang Vine and Pepper Festival
This is a local festival held to revitalize the local economy, centering on the Cheongyang Traditional Market that offers many things to eat, see and experience, and to bring together the county residents and tourists. By encouraging the local merchants to participate and creating a pleasant atmosphere, the festival aims to attract tourists from all corners of the country and lift the local economy out of repression. Prize money and gifts are given to the participants of the festival events, including a wide competitions, as a way to promote participation and help merchants have a growing business. This year, the opening ceremony will be hosted by Wang Jong-geun, with performances given by the iconic singers of Korea including Hyun Chul, Seol Woon-do, Bae Il-ho and Kang Min-joo. Also, there will be sensational fireworks that will embroider the sky with beautiful lights and drive the crowd wild. The festival will be comprised of various programs and events such as Find the Chili Pepper Master, Cheongyang Chili Pepper and Gugija Golden Bell, Music Concert, Youth Cultural Festival and fusion band performances that will delight people of all ages.
